Here’s exactly what Trump is doing, he knows this budget is insane, but he promised he’d lower taxes, as did a lot of Republican congressmen, he’s giving this absurd option to us, and when people inevitably reject it, he’ll blame the fact that he didn’t accomplish his promises, by saying people stopped him from doing

I’m a simple man. I see Dong, I click.

*crawls out of the post atomic rubble, gasping with final breath*

The 2008 crash also provides no insight into why he would decide anti-trade protectionism was a good policy. Lots of things contributed to the crash. “Immigrants taking our jobs” and “China selling cheap shit” were not on the list.

Steve Bannon is not uneducated. It defies belief that someone who understands Wall Street and capitalism

But her emails.

I always assumed Steve Bannon‘s origin story involved a bottle of Dewars and a tube of hemorrhoid cream exposed to Gamma radiation.

I assumed he hatched from a chickens egg that had been incubated by a toad.

I had a different interpretation, I read this article as an indictment of the tax system, not of Trump specifically.

Admittedly, the documents Maddow had basically amounted to “Trump made a lot of money in 2005 and also paid a lot of taxes, we can neither prove nor disprove that anything illegal was happening,” but I think there’s still significance to be had. For one, someone with access to these documents was willing to leak them

This selflessness is derived from bonding, and bonding from shared events and the unquestioning subordination of self for the good of the team. But what destroys this alchemy — and, therefore, combat effectiveness — are pettiness, rumor-mongering, suspicion, and jealousy. And when fighting spirit is lessoned, death is

I’ve replied to a couple people about this, someone else brought up Maryland. And it’s wrong. How we do districts should be nonpartisan and heavily scrutinized.

The military argument is nonsense.

Love HamNo, but no, that’s kinda bullshit. We’re supposed to be saving these people from themselves? They’re grown and have the right to vote for whoever they want, and insisting we know better only causes further division no matter how true it may be. We got plenty of people suffering in CA because of crap policy,

Well, the issue is the House is capped at 435 (mistake in my first reply). So each representative is representing more and more people. Wyoming’s lone rep is about half a million people. Montana’s lone rep is about a million. My state’s 3 reps are each about 600,000. California has 53 that represent 732,000ish.

The easiest reason is that their primary water sources run through states that wouldn’t secede. If they opted to say fuck the US, the US could easily say fuck California. Their entire agriculture industry is unnatural in the sense that they couldn’t grow things without substantial water resources which they don’t

Alternative headline:

I agree it’s not helping but, at this point, why shouldn’t a state like California consider it?

“If a man happens to meet a girl who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay her father fifty shekels of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.”

Does anybody have good, healthy, positive associations with growing up in a religious family? I feel a solidarity with other people who grew up Catholic, but for the most part we are talking shit about how messed up it was. I'm not saying that every Catholic is terrible, it really needs to be something you choose as
