That last scene, as it pulled back from Madani, made me yell at the tv. At first, I thought it was going to be her mom helping her, but nope! Also, given how much play the K Bar got leading up to the raid, I figured that was how Russo would get Stein. Totally forgot about his hidden blade.
One thing I wanted to add. In addition to Robert Picardo (and of course Penny Johnson), another Star Trek vet makes an appearance. Elara’s mother was played by Molly Hagan who played the female Vorta Eris in Deep Space 9
It could be setting up something that’ll pay off in a future episode.
This is the conceit of the show, though: they have to crew thousands of ships, and not all of them are going to be stocked with the Best and the Brightest. This isn’t the Enterprise, with the Shakespearean plays and the chamber music concerts; it’s the Orville, where the crew watches old Seinfeld shows and stages…
The only reason Yaphit was getting away with it was because the Doctor did not report it. Pay attention this is actually the first Episode where our Doctor flat out said if he didn’t stop she was going to report his behavior. In every other episode she told him to stop and then did nothing about it. Its actually a…
Am I the only one who thinks Halston Sage is rapidly becoming the breakout star of this show?
I knew the OUTRAGE machine would be carrying pitchforks and torches after this episode; this was the full McFarlane-either go with it or leave. In about ten years when Cheeto Hitler is history (unless he changes the Constitution and runs for a third term), it may be possible to feel slightly embarrassed by conflating…
It rude to turn down sex in his culture, so this was completely normal on his planet. An it appears he isn’t a Union officer either limiting their opportunity for punishment in that area.
You’re making the mistake of judging an alien by your own values. He made it pretty clear that in his own culture nobody cares, and let’s face it for a species that goes into heat, why would they? Our sexual mores and taboos are a function of the fact that we’re sexually available most of the time.
That’s Mike Henry, who plays Cleveland (among other characters) on Family Guy.
O shut up.
Another good episode. The only improvement they could have made is the space battle could have been longer.
I hope we see more of Darulio in the future.
An Dora the explorer is growing on me as well, she is a good a character.
Now how long do we have to wait until we get to hear Bortis singing!
Love the elevator joke…
I thought the makeup of Darulio (Rob Lowe) was excellent. I did not realize who it was until about halfway through the episode. But, it left enough of his face usable to bring his expressions out. So many times, the prosthetics in sci-fi shows get in the way, so the actors appear to have little-to-no emotions.
LOL dude are you even serious? “Liberalism is a haven for insecure people” I think you got the views mixed up, if you are so secure then why are you afraid of change? You guys are the truest of snowflakes.
He said there were good pe0ple in a crowd of Nazis, numbnuts.
There’s operating like a tyrant, then there’s operating like a tyrant and BEING a tyrant.
Yeah...if anything Tilly has proven to be far less abrasive than her first appearance suggested she would be.
That red-head bridge crewmember finally got to say a word.
Has anyone else noticed that the show seems to have shitty fathers, but hearty father-figures?
Mike’s dad is aloof to the level of malicious
El’s dad is literally the big bad of season one
Will’s dad s an abuser and user
Lucas’ dad is hen-pecked
Not Rob Lowe’s dad is an abuser
But Hopper, Bob, and even Steven fall in the…
