When I worked at Domino’s we had a handful of businesses that we weren’t allowed to take orders from on their request. I understood the hotels that had restaurants attached and bar and grills, but there was a specific bar that had no food service and no restaurant nearby whose owner had apparently a few years before I

He didn’t get someone fired. He reasonably pointed out to the manager that he’d been on hold for 15 minutes. The managers actions after that were up to him or her.

Yes, it is apparently preferable to be severely physically disabled, brain damaged, or dead than to be autistic if you follow their logic to its obvious conclusion. It’s disgusting.

My uncle had polio, went through the iron lung experience, nearly died. Today he has scar tissue in his throat and finds it hard to speak. He just missed the vaccine when it first came out, so seeing how he still suffers so many years later as a result of that unfortunate timing just makes me ragey at these anti-vax

No kidding. My mother was a child when vaccines started to become available, and she remembers how before that she would lose classmates every year to these diseases. “Lose” = “dead children.” To say nothing of all the people with lifelong scars caused by polio, measles, and so forth. It makes me crazy to see these

Right. You and I and our peers haven’t seen polio first-hand. But my great-aunt (who is in her 80s) worked as a nurse on a polio ward in the 40s, and she’ll gladly tell you how awful it was if she’s asked. Not that everyone knows my aunt, of course, but my point is: it wasn’t that long ago. As another commenter

Not only had the guy apparently already waited an hour, but it took another half hour for the manager to notice that he’d gotten food elsewhere.

I think that’s the real problem here- I’m in the “childbearing” age group, and I haven’t ever seen any of these diseases. I’m not a fucking idiot and I’ve heard of them, though (my grandmother had polio when pregnant, I found out not long ago! It sort of explains my crazy uncle), so I know that any children I have

Isn’t it weird? Particularly since the phony Wakefield “study” only implicated the MMR. Instead of herd immunity we appear to be seeing herd stupidity.

This one pisses me off more than the others, there are still people walking around with the scars of polio. My old boss had to wear a lifted shoe and was in constant pain. That these fuckers would rather their child deal with that than be autistic (that’s their argument, right?) is sick.

As Jon explained to Tucker Carlson while taking his show off the air: “The show that leads into me is puppets making crank phone calls. What is wrong with you?”

Jon Stewart works for Comedy Central. Not “Get Things Done” Central.

I am related to “this is perfectly normal!” people. They mean “this is what I want to do and no one has accosted me yet that I’ve actually bothered to acknowledge.”

If people have to order out to get food because of your bad service, you need to fix that.

That story is so baffling in so many ways I’m not sure how I could have not printed it.

The Pizza Hut one reminds me of this time my family wanted fast food, I had voted McDonald’s (I ws a kid, so sue me), the parents voted for Burger King... and whenI said, “Okay,, we’ll go to Burger King,” my parents decided that no, they wr egoing to be NICE. NICE... and do both. Grab my chicken mcnuggets, and then go

I feel like this could be taken as shots fired in a glorious pizza chain war that could carry on for months, if not years. You deliver a pizza to our pizza joint, so we send our employees undercover to pose as asshole customers and make ridiculous demands. They spike our water supply, so we burn down their city hall.

These really are all WTF territory, but that last one brought me joy. I’m still trying to figure out how the food blew out the door and they just decided oh well they’re not getting food...

Once, as I was climbing into my car, I called a place for takeout. They answered and put me on hold. I drove 15 minutes to the takeout place on hold. Got out of my car and walked in, still on hold, and asked for the manager. He came out and I showed him my phone and explained I had been on hold for 15 minutes. He took

I kinda feel like the Pizza hut manager didn’t really have a leg to stand on either legally or otherwise. I mean if your service is so bad that people are ordering takeout to be delivered, that’s on you as the manager.
