It is the Daily Mail. The Daily Mail. Anyone who works for them is probably and asshole so that is why they get basic details wrong. I don’t think they care.

It is an awful place and anyone foreign learns that quickly. You go and they are like “er no, dear god”. I learned.
Snort Pray Love more likely. They obviously lost their appetite.
They got big ones that rolled along the floor and made lots of jokes about “lol shoes I am a girl”. Or similar.
Yeah it is very condescending. I only assume the people who do it are just very sheltered and considered Americans to be a novelty. I have quite a few friends esp from old Uni circles from across the US and Canada. They get ridiculous remarks all the time. It is very much quid pro quo. :)
Ha - well I didn’t have to but did it in honour of my fav show a while back.
Yeah I wondered about the obvious ‘tics’ that she has developed to be an interview control factor. Not something that “weird”. To be honest, I only learned about people doing that kind of thing through reading about - ahem - certain powerful quasi religions in Hollywood. And through honest assessments of behaviour…
Thanks. Scheme in Scotland means housing projects. So many meanings.
It was a Matt Frei interview. He made a kinda harsh joke about ISIS loving it if Trump got in and she said she had enough. Honestly though, she was waiting for an excuse to walk out IMO. Sure Frei can be pissy but this is the nature of the big leagues.
You have to pay tax and national insurance and possibly utilities.
What is an American scheme? I really genuinely don’t know.
Base rate income tax for that wage is 20%. Your National Insurance is 13.8%. You may qualify for working tax credits meaning you get some back though this may just be above the wage threshold for some other benefits. If you have kids, again that is assessed.
They do. These are basically 1990s London wages but for a 6 day week.
I can see that. I have read things differently in jobs here though.
Perhaps. I can see that. Even so, it is still very low for London wages. And before tax. I just hope the person who gets it qualifies for tax credits.
The reason the Indian courts gave was that the last owner gave it willingly as part of a historic treaty. This is an impasse until new information arises.
I agree but I don’t see how that’s relevant.
(for which there is a salary adjustment)

Yes, basically. You may get £11000 but work how many hours a week? Shocking.
