Almost all braking is regen. At our last inspection I asked the mechanic about the brake wear. He said we should get 300-325k miles out of the brakes. We had 65k miles on the car at that time, they were 12/32 new and they had 10/32 left at 65k miles. Retiring then at 2/32 =325k miles.

Lots of people have. They are all aluminum and stainless steel. PA, 4 years 79k miles on ours, we drive it all year long, even in the worst of winter conditions and not one spot of rust anywhere, not even on the underside.
