I believe the original prototype designs had funny fins running down the roof and engine cover. “Tuatara” translates to “back spikes” so i guess thats where the got it from? Or Mr. Cleans yacht-loving twin just liked the name. who knows.

They are insanely cool reptiles though. They split from common lizards well before

I believe it’s because the tuatara is said to have the fastest evolving DNA of any animal, so I guess the point is that they’re distancing themselves from their hideous first car.

What’s crazy is from the cockpit video I saw with telemetry it was still accelerating pretty well at the 331mph. Webb stated in an interview that it could have easily gone faster but the cross winds were higher than expected and the car was being pushed around too much on the narrow road.

It’s the biggest aspect of the speed wars and probably the most discussed point on any fast vehicle attempting to go fast.

Someone with better eyes than I have could probably find out from the pic, but they are Michelins. We’ll have more/actual data once the attempt is certified.

Bathurst is on in Australia...

God this movie is gold whenever these two are on screen.

Once Tesla hears that you didn’t pay for the optional convertible package, you’ll be getting a bill in the mail.

Not to mention, everyone seems to forget about it but Indycar has it’s own form of constructor’s championship in the form of engine supplier points. For the longest Chevrolet was the key player but for the past two seasons Honda has won it and they’re on track to win it again in 2020.

Self starters. Finally.

Low market share plus a tiny shot at winning the constructors championship (until 2023 at the very soonest, maybe even till 2025). And then the huge cost to even be in F1

$164,000

Yeah, different species. No cannibalism.

A T-Rex eating a Velociraptor is technically not cannibalism because they aren’t the same species.

Astro? No? My!

GM needs to do something with their Truck.

I think the trailer behind the Discovery held an aluminum boat - there’s an outboard motor just lying behind it. It’s astonishing that it just melted away.
