Of course I never intended to say EVERY person who owns a KIA has bad credit. There are plenty of reasons to buy a KIA as you pointed out. That said lets not pretend the majority of KIA shoppers are not those with lower tier credit. As simple google search will reveal this information to anyone. But please tell us

I disagree on both fronts. The main reason people buy Lexus and Toyota is the bulletproof reliability. The main reason people buy Tesla’s is because of the torque of an electric vehicle, future-proof technology and its a status symbol. The main reason people buy BMW, MB, Audi is luxury car and status symbol.

While I understand the point you are making.. I think you need to go and see/test drive a 2019 Sante Fe vs its equally priced competitors. I did just that and found the Sante Fe to be incredibly compelling and had no problem with the asking price. The 2019 Sante Fe is essentially a poor mans Acura MDX. Granted its

Can you name one?

Umm. What sedans are you talking about? Go back 20 years and look at 1998 Civic compared to a 2018. Do the same for the Accord, Altima, Maxima, Corolla, Camry, etc or any model name that has stayed continuously in production. Every vehicle has grown much bigger. So much so that a midsize sedan today would be fullsize

While I agree with the premise of this article (buy a high mileage car, if it been well taken care of. I’ve always thought the best buy in used vehicles are NEWER vehicles that have HIGHER milage. You get all the benefits & amenities of driving a new vehicle.. but pay the price of a vehicle a couple generations old.

Here is the magic question? If its such a great deal.. When did you purchase your Model 3? Or are you just doing the same song & dance as most people who are *interested* in one.

I gotta call bullshit. Anybody who is literate can read through the list of the fixes for a software update. Are you really trying to argue those updates “benefit the company more than the user”. The vast majority of updates are fixes for things that are broken, closing security loopholes and adding features.

Your math is way off. Actually your entire post is way off. A basic Civic with the 1.5L Turbo 4cyl and CVT (most common drivetrain) gets a combined 35mpg. The avg driver in the US drives around 12,000 miles a year. 12,000/35 = 343 gallons of gas per year.. at $2.50/gal.. thats $857 in gas per year. How in the hell did

You do realize Porsche created this whole “fuck you” 911R flippers market by purposely limiting sales of their non-Carrera cars? Do I even need mention they also doubled down on the flipping when they equipped the 991.1 GT3 with PDK only?

I see this comment often but it seems people who make it forget a few things.

Yep. Newly born twins is what finally made me get rid of my C6.  Instead of looking at C7's.. a 991.1 is much more appealing because I can actually drive it every day.

I have to disagree. One of the reasons why SUV’s are now more popular than ever.. is because they are now Crossover based SUV’s. Stop living in the past. The days of big old SUVS (aka body-on-frame trucks with beds converted into seats) are over.

There is nothing about a CR-V or RAV4 that says “I’ve got money”. I get the point you were making.. that luxury cars have now become luxury SUVs.. but lets be real for a second.. the most popular SUVs on the road are the ones in the $30K range and they cost right about the same as an equally equipped car. Who doesnt

And your great grand parents hauled around your grandparents in a horse and carriage. You dont NEED a Geo Metro to haul all that BS around.

You miss so much with your ‘numbers’ game.

I’ve never understood why people on Jalopnik care so much what somebody else wants for any reason. You could literally say you need a green Lamborghini to sit in your Master Bedroom.. and you know what.. its your money.. why do I care?

Why be such an asshole? Its just a comment man. Is it really that important to you to win such a meaningless argument with a complete stranger on the internet?

Sounds like you never heard of Google. Its a magical tool that will answer questions so that you dont have to ask that same question to strangers on the internet. Its no secret the Mazda3 has been selling horribly for a long time.

Thank you for being more honest in your second reply. Im in the exact same situation as I must now get rid of two older vehicles (12 year Corvette and 20 year old Lincoln Navigator) for something newer and safer for our 3 month old twins.. and you literally could not pay me to purchase a sedan. Any sedan. Im not
