The “Good Guy With A Gun” people seem to envision everyone on the scene automatically knowing who the Bad Guy is, with no confusion over which person shooting people is another Good Guy and which is a Bad Guy. Never mind situations with more than one Bad Guy.

Biggest issue is how tightly we’ve woven firearm ownership into our national fabric. 

People always act like “good guy with a gun” means like, some kind of badass super marksman who picks off the shooter with one clean shot, as if that describes every gun owner.

Unfortunately America doesn’t really want to do whats necessary to stop this issue. So they blame everything else they can think of, mostly violent movies and video games . Instead of actually realising that its just far too easy to get your hands on a bloody gun.
