@Maximegalon: baka! "push notifications" refers to the network push notifications the devices get from various services to avoid having to poll for them like our email clients do on the desktop.

@Melonfodder: kde and gnome are some of the most polished things out there in linux (well, kde4 and whatever ubuntu uses). interfaces to acceleration however is an issue. Checkout phoronix.com for more on that
