this is extremely funny because there have been numerous articles about how gen z LOVES friends and it was one of netflix’s biggest watched shows amongst that demographic.

How many episodes depends on how much story ground they plan to cover. Maybe it’s the right amount, maybe it isn’t. Season 1 was not enough episodes for the ground the covered, but lots of other shows cover too little (see basically all of Marvel Netflix).
I’ve seen this more than a few times, and it’s really the sort of thing that I think any decent editor should outright ban. Of course, that wouldn’t include noted fan blog The AV Club, but I’m pretty sure I’ve also seen it at publications that presumably do have editors. It’s like calling someone BIPOC. The terms exist…

I read a pitch for the Black Adam film somewhere: it starts off as a Rock vehicle where he’s supposedly the hero, only for Shazam to appear midway through to fight him and thus reveal that Adam is actually the bad guy.
