When I look up HBO Max it offers a cheaper one screen standard definition option, and a more expensive multi-screen HD/4K option. Both without ads. Maybe it’s different in your country.

I just finished The Wandering Earth yesterday and thought that was a pretty fun disaster movie and was kind of in the mood for more, although it wasn’t a Netflix original, I might check out The Silent Sea then.

I have HBO Max and Amazon Prime and I don’t agree at all. Granted, when I lived in Japan, Prime did have lots and lots of Japanese TV shows at least, but after I moved almost none of those are available internationally. Maybe wherever you live it’s different.

Netflix is far and away the best service for non anglophone content, and maybe Americans don’t care about that, but I certainly do.
