Multiple local stores, up and down the valley.
See, that’s where I thought this article was going and that was the reason for the firing, that the manager failed to schedule more than one person or wasn’t present during work hours, therefore leaving the store open to robbery (not that that would stop any idiot robbers).
Clearly I’ve never worked at a Gamestop and…
It’s honestly a shame how poorly paid a lot of retail workers are who have to deal with shit like that meanwhile the executives are more interested in peddling NFT nonsense rather than making their stores a better place to work. Sorry to hear that happened to you and hopefully you’re doing better.
I’ll just say this once: There are plenty of better places to work today desperate to hire you. The GameStop employees could probably take the whole chain down if they all quit and went and worked at the Target next door. For more pay. With better hours. With more supportive management. With less chance of being…
I was robbed while working at a GameStop. I was the only employee working in the morning. In hindsight they were clearly wanting to get in the back (asking questions like “is the manager in the back?”) but they ended up putting me in a headlock and making me open the registers, leaving like 4 dollars behind. They only…
About a decade or so ago (shortly after PS4 and Xbox One launched) I was a Gamestop employee. My first full non training day actually. I was told to go out and clean the window and door just before closing. As I was out there a guy ran up towards me with a gun and put it to my back and walked me inside the store. Kept…
100% this.
When it comes to small children, a coffee table is an injury factory. They have to be watched. Not blaming any parents here, but the amount of seemingly harmless objects in my house that my daughter has come close to hurting herself on is nearly everything.
I’m not into Twitch streaming, but we’re probably not getting another season of The Eric Andre Show until 2023 at the earliest and this shit has the same manic, unpredictable energy. Well, not the same same because it’s a few hours instead of 20 minutes of distilled chaos, but it’s close. I’m sold.
Diablo Multiplayer was popular (especially in Diablo II), I am well aware. But it was a completely separate entity from the single player experience, which is what I was looking forward to. Fusing the two into a shared world is not something I want to have to deal with.
And you know that those shared areas are going to be a Barrens Chat level mess... not a prospect I am looking forward to.
The only PvP I remember people doing in Diablo 2 on closed was when people were just waiting for more slots to be filled for a cow level run or a Diablo run. On Open it was nothing but hackers with busted characters they all downloaded off the net somewhere.
I remember during my one attempt to try it that it was like 90% offscreen rocket tag focusing on one Amazon bow called the Buriza or something. It mostly just sucked because it was too fast even for people who are into twitch gaming.
D2 PVP was trash. There is no reason whatsoever to remember it fondly. Nox had good PVP, but nobody played Nox, which is why there’s no more Westwood and EA has turned Command And Conquer into a horrible mobile game. Thanks, idiots!
If what you worry about is PvP (which I can relate to), then it’s worth pointing out you would not be forced into it. It’s specific areas with optional loot. Someone else up there compared it to The Division’s Dark Zones, which feels like an apt comparison.
I’ve never understood the allure of D2 pvp. I didn’t find it fun or exciting. It largely consisted of classes teleporting around (via items when not a sorc) and trying to 1-shot people offscreen. Ping played far more into pvp than any kind of skill did.
Don’t care still buying three copies
TBF WoW had different forms of PvP including neutral zones where anyone could engage in PvP with anyone at any time.
Their pvp sounds like the Dark Zone from The Division. A hostile area, where you collect items and then take them to a specific spot in order to claim the items. It’s weird how they just completely lifted the idea lol.
