I think because in order to do it like you are just walking a planet You lose a lot of RPG elements because you are just constrained by the limits of hardware. 

It’s a single player game. This game was a huge success and is a great game (which clearly upsets certain people and media outlets). I look forward to the sequel.

Epic needs to basically emulate Discord and Steam in order to get new players to choose it over Steam as their mainstay. As far as older players... You can’t pull us away fully. No chance. I will love Super Mario Land on the GB until the day I die. One of the few games I got so into as a kid, and decent enough at, that I could finish it and the harder version you got on completing it. That is all.

I could never get into the 3D Marios for whatever reason. I never had a DS, but I loved New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Id put Yoshi Island more at 6. But yeah we all knew Super Mario World would be number 1. I haven't enjoyed a Mario game as much as that one.
