Literally just flew in Detroit and they were not operating under these procedures. I didn’t even have to take my shoes off nor remove my laptop from my backpack nor remove my belt. Someone didn’t send them the memo......

I get out plenty. Harleys just aren’t as popular where I live. You see a lot more sporty bikes than Harleys, and I find them to be more courteous (based on MY interactions with the two groups). Never have had a sport bike rev their bike as I’m walking under an overpass causing me to go deaf temporarily. Never have had

Wholly agree. I find them and the people that ride them obnoxious.

I call bullshit on this. Having lived in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan. There is no way in hell that Michigan drivers are more courteous than Wisconsin drivers. Spend an hour on I-94 or 5min in the metro area and you’ll see just how bad Michigan drivers can be. Michigan drivers are monstrous and the roads around

I agree. Tesla’s styling really does not do it for me.

Neutral: I’m heading out to Tail of the Dragon with some friends.

A lot of states don’t require parallel parking as part of the driver’s test. I’m pretty sure the only requirement in Michigan is to have a partially functioning brain and a heartbeat.

I was never taught parallel parking in driver’s ed. Many don’t teach it anymore. My cousin’s driver’s ed didn’t even do perpendicular parking because the parking lot at the school was angled and they were too lazy to go elsewhere. That said, most newer cars its fucking easy mode due to the backup camera. I parallel

They sold off Opel because it was losing a consistent amount of revenue year over year for almost 20 years. I’m not sure if they plan to export Chevy’s and whatnot in the future, but manufacturing in Europe has cost GM a significant amount of money. Cutting that cord, while losing some sales, probably saves money in

I wouldn’t consider start-stop driver assisting tech. Its tech, but for fuel efficiency. Lane departure warning, lane keep assist, front collision warning, forward automatic braking, Adaptive cruise, etc. Most of those can be disabled or have the sensitivity turned down to a point at which its not a nuisance, IMO.

I actually like a lot of these new features. I just go into the settings for them and turn off the beeps or reduce sensitivity of the sensors. Makes it way more tolerable.

You could just turn it off. My Chevy had all that junk. I could turn off all the annoying sounds and just left the warning lights on. Way better experience, and useful for whenever anyone is inevitably distracted.

You’d be surprised. There’s a ton of money rolling around Detroit. Just not in it. You’ve got thousands of engineers and their bosses. Obviously Corvettes, Chargers, Camaros, Mustangs, etc are no stranger to the area, but there are quite a few super cars too. I live down the street from an exotics importer. I see

As someone who move here from out of state, 696 is nuts. People pretty much treat it as Michigan International Speedway. Also, car fires seem to be pretty common around Detroit. Look at the shoulder on 696 or 75 and you’ll see quite a few scorch marks. I’ve been living in the Detroit Metro for 2 years and have seen 5

1st Gear: I recently purchased a 2017 Camaro. They definitely try to push the longer term loans. “Look how much lower you monthly payment is!” Yeah, don’t fall for it. Demand to see the interest rates, you’ll be in for a surprise. I’ll pay the extra $100 a month to avoid a 5.9% loan and thousands of dollars in

I’m already getting several grey hairs.

I understand people’s dissatisfaction with the woman (I’m with them), but personally I don’t agree with how they treated a guest speaker.

Sadly, I know people that think that way. I have a friend who, gladly no longer, thought that Chevy and GMC were two different car companies and not brand run by one larger company. So when I showed up in a Mailbu after getting a job at GM their first words to me were “Why are you driving a Chevy? I thought you got a

Good. Those people are obnoxious. There is literally no benefit to rolling coal except if you get off on being a public nuisance.

Package deals are reduce complexity which helps reduce mistakes. Also, most car buyers aren’t gear heads or enthusiasts. That’s a dwindling market. It makes more sense to offer what the common masses are interested in, and that’s flashy tech and gizmos that Jalops think are pointless.
