They also would have to validate the vehicle for any US regulations that aren’t shared with Australia. If that requires rework, then it can take a while.

In colder climates its nice to remote start the car for 10-15min to warm it up. You’d probably only get use of that function for about 4 months of the year. Unless your car has climate control then I guess you can use it year round if your really picky about the cabin temp.
I have an echo and it has its appeals. In the morning while I’m putting together my lunch, I’ll ask it about my commute and weather. I can get newlines from NPR as well. All while completing other tasks. When I get home from the day, I can walk in and say “play smooth jazz” or “play [Artist or Album]” it will…
I have a friend that is convinced that the only brand GM sells is GMC because its has GM in the name. Chevy, Buick, Cadillac are all owned by other people. This person is by no means dim, too. This is just the average knowledge of American car buyers.
I personally requested to have the plastic left on my vehicle. Drove home, and spent the next hour slowly peeling it all off. It was the best hour of my life.
I would very much like to be able to walk up to an iPad, build a car up, and then talk to a loan officer about finance options instead of hopping through the Dog and Pony show that is the dealership experience.
Neutral: I’m not sure it can be made better. Its a super competitive, sales driven environment. Plus its hard to sweet talk a car to a custom when they will just fact check you on their smart phone. With the amount of information available to ones fingertips there’s almost no reason to have a sales person anymore,…
Yup, why put a visible warning where people aren’t looking all the time? Now I understand why their current models do this. You can’t really expect them to recall every car and fit them with a HUD, but future models I hope they consider it. Little things that other OEMs have picked up to avoid lawsuits.
lol, I wish. I have a Malibu and it projects red warning lights onto the windshield when you are past a certain threshold. I do get to drive Camaros on occasion and the HUD on that is pretty nice.
IMO, a projection on the windshield would be best. That’s where the driver should be looking anyways. That’s what my Chevy does when it thinks I should start braking.
This doesn’t surprise me. I saw the preview for this at the theaters and the only thought going through my mind was “This is it. This is what society has been reduced.” Maybe I’m just cynical, but the quality of movies over the past decade has been on a steep downward slope. So much so, when a good movie actually…
Oh, for sure. I’ve been to quite a few dealers over the years, buying cars with friends and family, and I’ve always noticed the smaller dealers never really had as polished of an experience that the large ones have had. The most recent experience I had was shopping around for a Focus ST. I went to smaller dealership…
Huh, I’ve received nothing but the utmost respect from the few Caddy Dealers I’ve been to. I hit a pot hole with a company car and busted a sidewall. Rolled into a dealer 10miles down the road 30min before closing. They called in a mechanic, pulled a tire and rim off one of their own cars, just so I could be on my way…
Winter tires bro. AWD isn’t going to do shit if you don’t have traction in the first place.
I honestly would like to know what dark hole they sweep all our taxes dollars into. Its obviously not going into public works, because then the roads and schools wouldn’t look like they’re from a third world country.
The Big 3 aren’t to blame for this. Its the dealer association that is blocking Tesla from selling in states with strict franchise laws. Its a common misconception that dealers are own by OEM’s. They are independent businesses that just sell product and services put out by the OEM. Some areas it the equivalent of…
“very, very, extremely hot”
I think both sides need to shape up a bit. ~80% public law enforcement issue. ~20% violent “protesting.” In my eyes, protesting stops becoming protesting when the fires and looting breakout. MLK and Gandhi had it right. If you want to make a difference you have to be better than the ones mistreating you. I have…
Cars that have space for a purse next to the driver: Minivans and Large SUV’s.
