They actually lasted that long. It’s the FIA that mandates that tyres must only last after so-and-so laps after all. The issue is that making them do so changes the wat they deform under load, which the aerodynamicist didn’t like.

Because the new tyres will be the same. The FIA mandates how the tyres perform.
According to Ross Brawn, the tyres are deforming differently from this years, which is messing up with the team's aero setups.
According to Ross Brawn, the tyres are performing the way they want in terms of degredation. The issue it seems is aerodynamics. They’re not deforming the way the teams want them to, messing with their aero.
From what I’ve read, the issue isn’t even that the tyres were bad - they actually performed as expected. However, they deformed differently under load which affected the aerodynamics.
The Grand Tour had the right idea when they named that one corner at the Eboladrome "Your Name Here."
While joking around is fun, can we get someone to explain the difference between the European WLPT and the EPA's tests?
Clearly, you're not Drax. That joke flew over your head, and you didn't catch it.
I won’t get into why I think an extremely basic vehicle inspection should be mandatory, because I’ve already done that, and, as others have pointed out, it would probably never work.
I’ve never understood the strategy of “the startup”
Fun fact, no Porsches have ever won the actual Safari Rally (unless you count the first two winners in ‘53 and ‘54, which were VW Beetles).
it was amazing spectators didn’t get harmed when the powerful cars, on rare occasion, lost control momentarily.
This yet-unnamed model will have an electronically driven front axle
If Sportspesa remains a title sponsor, we might get something similar to that 7Up livery on the Jordan (though that’s Irish Green, not BRG).
Interestingly enough, if Stroll does buy Aston, some are thinking that the hypercar might not make it to LeMans. Because Stroll buying would mean Aston getting into F1 through renaming Racing Point.

Mercedes already supplies Aston with engines. No reason that couldn’t continue doing that.
