Germans just held plasma in a reactor for both helium and htdrogen. So in the not to distant future it may be true.

Then again.. you can imagine that if regos went up by about $1000 dollars a year (due to almost no fuel costs) the states would possibly have an extra few billion to screw with each year.. thats a lotta cash.
