Consider the span of a fixed door. If it were unnecessary the Q7 and Odyssey would be claying paint off their doors. The hinge keeps the doors within the width of the space the car occupies.

The solution is learn how to ride before buying the biggest fastest bike out there and thinking you’ll be fine. The attitude of young riders is the problem. Fast cars are expensive to buy unless you build them. Fast bikes are dirt cheap and considering how exposed one is and how most do not spend the money on

So the 6 inches of frame between the anchor points not bending is the impressive part here? How about moving away from the pivot point ? I’d be impressed then. Lexus’s advert had more to do with structural integrity than this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Rv5nc…

Barrer.... Maybe? :P

You’re better off on a Triumph. This is a joke and a cheap one at that. The build quality is poor. The bikes they released in India were shit, had garbage performance and are just archaic. Honestly would be more interesting if they kept producing their diesel bikes or had this running on coal.

Trash to say the least. Think of Harley without what little R&D they have. It’s a great feel but the minute it takes a corner it’s well unsettling. Having had to work on them myself they’re a joke.

They need to sell a minimum of 1000 bikes. 200 isn’t going to allow them to use it

Why? There is a market for choppers that are reliable. Not a personal favorite but it works.

I never said buying experiences was bad. All I said was comparing what you could buy with a certain amount of money when presented with a product is dumb. Every time Jalopnik writes about a Koeniggsegg or Lamborghini do you talk about what you could do with that money? The people who have the money to spend on a bike

So in other words you can’t afford either. Anyone who has the money to buy something like that isn’t going to be penny pinching enough to play the “I’d rather” game.

Considering it’s depreciation you can keep your counterpoint. I’d still own a limited Honda over a Ducati anyday.

The irony is those same people will drool over an exotic that can be beat by a cheaper tuned vehicle. But no one ever makes those comparisons.

No, it was because they used non OEM weather mats in their cars which caused the pedal to stick. They should’ve been suing the dealerships instead. The research also showed a drastic increase in those complaints after the media made a big deal out of it. The NHTSA and NASA cleared Toyota of all wrong doing but

That’s what happens when you have the lowest common denominator move into a position of authority. These are the so called educators killing innovation and creativity. Hope this kid keeps his head high and pursues what he loves doing instead of being shut down!

No take backsies

Nice job Nikhil! Always good to see a fellow Kodava who’s a petro head!

Again the problem is everyone’s focus on HP. Do you complain about HP figures when talking about a Bugatti or Koenigsegg? Or even a 458 or DB9? This isn’t just a machine built to fast on a track or have all out performance. Its meant to be a status symbol. Its meant to be something people who have money can spend on.

How is it not ground breaking? Its a road going version of a race winning motogp bike. That in it’s own is a big deal. Any of Honda’s race winning bikes have been uber expensive. On paper most can’t tell the difference but that’s what you get for a full on race bike. Its really not meant to be as hard to live with

Mechanical feedback is so under rated that everyone keeps talking about wanting more electronics. I bought the CBR just because of it’s simplicity and its refinement in making the rider do the work. I can still run circles around any rider on the track unless they’re really giving it their all with the electronics

The H2R is a supercharged engineering exercise. It’s special just like this bike is special in its own way. There is no ruined conversation when people understand it’s purpose. No one bitches about a 1.4 million dollar supercar but god forbid if Honda releases a bike that’s meant to be the pinnacle of racing.
