The best part is when they threaten whoever made the fake site, he can say it was just a joke.

If it is a joke, the joke was taken WAY TOO FAR and AMP is a shady shoddy shop. Even if it is a joke, that doesn’t make it “OK”. Since they were working on a deal, I say its no question, a scam. A joke doesn’t involve an attempt to buy something.... They just got caught and are trying to get out of it.

as bad as

Even if it was a joke, what is rule number 1 in car culture?

Here is the real question:

In my particular corner of the DC suburbs, there are many bro’d out Wranglers. For example:

It’s definitely a California cult favorite, though the REAL original is Tommy’s. They were In-n-Out before In-n-Out was In-n-Out. I’ll still choose them any day of the week.

In 1995, I purchase a Z28 Convertible for $28k. CPI adjusted, that’s $47k today.

Indeed you are out of touch. The average new car payment is $523.

That was probably uncalled for on my part - apologies. I was being shouted at by some teenagers in a different thread. Probably time for me to step away from the keyboard for the day.

Save some for me. I’m still fine-tuning my water rationing schedule.

Let’s be fair, though, about driving a Jeep on-road. Rock crawling with a Jeep=awesome. Driving a Jeep on a paved road after one snowflake has fallen=utterly terrifying.

US rally, Euro style:

I always felt that the Ranger punched well above it’s weight class. I had a ‘94 Ford Ranger Regular Cab with the 2.3 Liter and a 5 speed. It was technically rated as a 1/2 ton pickup, but I know that there plenty of times I had more than 1,000 lbs of cargo (counting myself) in the truck, and I definitely towed more

I’m 33', 8k lbs behind a first gen Nissan Titan, I’m with in ratings and been pulling for years without any issue.  I had a guy actually walk up to me in a campground and flat out tell me that I can’t pull my camper with my truck.  I told him not to worry, I teleported it there.

For several decades I worked out of a truck every weekday, and I still do every now and then. I realize that overcompensating suburbanites are a much more lucrative market for pickups than people who work out of pickups, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t buy many thousands of trucks every month.

Spend time on any camper group, they seem to all think you need a minimum 1 ton dully diesel to tow anything. Anyone towing with less, even if they are well with in spec’d ratings are a threat to everyone on the road and going to kill everyone.

CARB was created to regulate CA’s emissions. Other states signed on because they wanted to follow the same standards. Has nothing to do with CA wanting to control the country.

I live and breathe cars so I have been pretty in tune with the culture since I could drive. i lived through the Fast and Furious late 90's craze, experienced the classic car scene as I moved into resto-modding them, and seen the decline of car culture more recently.

Maybe straight men in the car world can stop being misogynistic douchebags to every woman they meet?

Because it’s fun to hate!
