Yup you’re definitely a Comcast employee.

I mean the cameraman is literally showing cause an effect. I think they’re worthy of atleast 90% of the blame.
I’m a paramedic and have seen many people deflect blame for being the cause of other people’s pain and injury. It’s sad how little personal responsibility people are willing to take in this day and age. Put up the goddamn cones, that way EVERYONE goes home safe.
They are breaking the law. Stop playing dumb. Stopping a vehicle in a lane of traffic intentionally, performing work in the roadway, without proper signage or permitting, is breaking the law.
It’s not about who’s to blame that is so frustrating, it’s about the fact that they don’t give a shit, even after being explained AND seeing the aftermath.
“Clearly people need to change their driving habits to match the weather.”
They’re going well below what a logical person would do.
Plenty of blame to share for all parties
That’s what irritates me the most about
theComcastguys’ attitudes. They are happy to do the bare minimum.
that’s what gets me - this is super dangerous FOR THEM! They aren’t just callous about others safety they seem to literally not care about their own safety one bit. I generally expect the worst out of people...but that usually comes with a massive side of selfish behavior.
Sharing of blame here would be best. that and inadequate training for placement of cones and work zone signs
Problem is not so much that some people are driving too fast... Some are. It’s that those accidents could have been avoided, had that comcast asshole realized that things are not going according to the manual. Not only that, but when told about the dangers about the whole situation, he basically told the guy begging…
you do realize there were two school buses in the video, right?
Well, to be fair, I would think emergency responders would put out a car or some signs on the hill where people can see it before they approach the scene. Also, there’s a mandatory speed restriction on the adjacent lane when driving by emergency vehicles parked on the shoulder (doesn’t necessarily apply to the…
Come on, after the first two slide-offs behind their trucks, they most definitely SHOULD have had the common sense to put out more cones - the guy was getting in the bucket. If their truck got rear ended by something big, he would sure as hell be hurting or dead. Someone pointing out that they still have more cones…
A school bus wouldn’t be out in that weather—no school in weather like that. A first responder would very likely have a cop car there as well with the cop further up the hill to help prevent further accidents (they help to direct traffic). Garbage trucks out in this weather would be 50/50 so no comment there. Joe…
I’ll repeat the comments other people already mentioned in other comments about the speed people are driving. Most of us are pretty sure that they were going around 30 over the hill, so not too fast, and the road before the hill may have been more clear.
Yes, but the situation being so obvious is precisely WHY the comcast asshole is so completely in the wrong.
OK.. this is NOT Comcast.. it’s a subcontractor with the comcast logo on the side - jeez.
Some blame can be placed on the motorists who are going too fast (which could be even going the normal speed limit) only in this scenario. But the ones driving below the normal speed limit due to weather conditions who STILL slid out are not at fault here.
