In Life magazine in the 50’s there was a Goodyear ad saying “when there’s no man around, Goodyear should be.” Referring to the lifeguard safety spare which was an inner tube. I believe the next line in the ad said ‘a woman can’t change a tire. Everyone knows that.’ -the 50’s must have been marvelous.
