I checked Twitter for reactions to this premiere. Some people were saying that it had "gone off the rails" and "jumped the shark." LOL. That happened in Season 1.

True I guess. I still think it was related to the neolutionist reveal.

I'm not sure if it works outside of Canada, but they had a behind the scenes look at it on "After the Black" last night (starts at the 8 minute mark):

I thought it was Shay as well (especially when she said "What will happen to her?"). But, in retrospect, I think it was probably Susan Duncan. Because, if it was Shay, they probably would've shown that, but the fact that they didn't makes me think that they didn't want to ruin the surprise reveal later.

The After Show was my first time seeing Zoé de Grand'Maison out of character and, boy, is she ever different. Rivals Jordan Gavaris in that regard.

And thank jeebus that Delphine actually answers texts from Cosima even when she is in the middle of torturing an innocent woman and staging her "suicide."

Either way, that was brilliant. It's one of those open-ended "choose which way you want to see it" endings (like the Chuck finale). I choose to believe it wasn't just a dream. It's too perfect.

But most of all, why did this show cut down this inspired twist so quickly?

I was all, "NOOOOOO!!!! They can't kill Cisco!" Seriously, he's probably my favourite character.

Not streaming outside of the U.S.?!?!? What the eff Yahoo/Sony? We have Yahoo Screen in Canada. What gives?

I'm not so sure about mind control, but I got the impression that maybe she was able to communicate with the Ark computers. How else would she know his name and all that?

Now we’ll have to go through trust-building between the Arkers and Grounders yet again…
