Let’s not forget Detomasso’s previous resurrection attempt.

Well if there’s anything I gather from this, it’s that the US auto industry isn’t particularly great.

Given how inclined the average American is to buy a crossover in white or black as opposed to anything even remotely interesting, that’s one thing I agree with.

I cant get the reservation page to work.

I hope the car works better than their website.

I’ve seen a few comments saying that even electric vehicles are still technically burning hydrocarbons, since power plants are usually natural gas or coal. I’d like to correct that, and say that some of us live in deregulated energy markets, and we choose the (more expensive) 100% renewable option. (Here in Texas, you

So, like Tesla without any dealer lobby imposed restriction.

I’m listening to talk radio in the morning and passively listen to the traffic report, there’s a car on fire almost every day.

Glad I'm not the only one who saw it that way.

Guy with Bloomberg Terminal access > Journalist who uses Google

Most of the comment section is missing the joke as well. But that’s to be expected with such a politically charged and obscenely complex topic.

Yeah. This due agonizes over changing headlight bulbs and windshield wipers as if he’s doing heavy wrenching on his car.  And the other dude who writes about swapping minor bicycle parts as if anyone cares.  What am I even doing here, ugh.

This becomes especially clear when they write with sincere disbelief about why Americans buy trucks and SUVs instead of subcompact hatchbacks and EVs.

Aren’t auto journalists living in NYC kind of like male gynecologists or getting sex advice from a Catholic Priest? They may have SOME experience, but probably not as much or as personally as one would really want.

I don’t mind if your car is loud because it’s fast or powerful but most of the time it’s just some idiot in a Golf or Dodge Ram. Ugh. Why is it always a Ram? Also, I can’t be the only one who detests the loud popping exhaust trend. Right?

Don’t listen to this dude, Erik. You drink as much as you want. Just don’t die or, ya know, become dependent.

The rise in noise complaints has come as bored young men (it’s mostly men) have sought a diversion that’s social but somewhat socially distant.

I drove a Tesla Model Y Performance for the first time this week. It was such a different and fun driving experience. I now get why all those fanboys don’t care too much about shoddy workmanship.
