@jcollierdavis: Try downloading the update from the "Verizon" section of the Android marketplace. That should allow you to leave WiFi on, but it won't use WiFi.

@Tyrunn: I haven't heard a "Transformers: The Movie" (Animated) reference for a long time...

@xaronax: I have Verizon, and there ARE areas where reception is an issue. I think having a backup option is a good idea. I've hit some long stretches in Colorado that have no service...

@P1h3r1e3d13: I think the only update to the Verizon app is that you can have WiFi turned on while using Skype Mobile. It still uses Verizon's network for the actual call.

@TrojanCentaur: I blame them as human beings, not as an entity. How the hell can you sit by and watch someones house burn while you have the tools in your hands to help?

As a former volunteer firefighter, I find this disgusting...

@Bigbadbikernerd: Sorry about that, I didn't intend to do anything against the rules for posting the referral link, I have removed it.

@Lantern42: I thought the same thing...

@madara: I usually drink Guinness when I go out (and it's not to look cool, I actually like it), but my number 2 beer is definitely...Keystone light. It's about as cheap as it gets around where I live.

@Emmitt's Malapropisms: I think I paid $4 for MyCast because it is doesn't take much bandwidth. I love riding my motorcycle, and want to know what the weather is doing, so have radar fast is important. MyCast works well even in 1x coverage, so I bought it. The free ones are nice, they just take too long to get up

I like Garmin MyCast for my Droid Incredible. It even works well when you are in 1x coverage. It's not as pretty looking as the Weather Channel app, but it takes way less bandwidth.

@juan_ozuna: Wow...you must work for Augen...

@NVJar: I agree. Pull no punches...

"a frustrating weeble-wobble mush that forces you to plant every keystroke with the dainty precision of a quadriplegic seal doing a cockstand on a beach ball."

@morphoyle: I think you missed the irony in his reply...

@Meh: Yeah, but I love where he says he was never very good at practical jokes.
