That's beside the point.... GOOGLE is still taking 30% of app sales in the only major distributor of Android apps.

The stupid part is where you think Apple can make transactions, maintain servers, and hire staff with literally no cost and keeping the entire 30% as profit while Google has to use its identical 30% cut to do the same things.
It's still infinitely times better than any Samsung design, though.
I have, but rooting can't change the awful hardware design. Also, I have a Galaxy Nexus, which is the least awful Samsung phone and which is why I labeled myself a "somewhat disgruntled Samsung user."
Have you compared the physical look of the Galaxy S, Galaxy S II, or even Galaxy Nexus to a thoughtfully-designed phone? Alright, Android users aren't generally ones to appreciate thoughtful design. But still. Compare it to the HTC One series: [cdn2.sbnation.com]
It's actually impossible to brick iDevices without hardware mods or physical damage. Your phones were, assuming the hardware was fine, still recoverable, even if you didn't know how to restore them yourself.
By "that logic" you mean your really shitty logic, right?
Spoiler: it's going to be ridiculously ugly, cheap-feeling, and have a horrible UI.
Do I even need to explain how stupid this comment is?
Yeah. You could also use Amazon's store. Which also takes a 30% cut. Oh, and Microsoft takes a 30% cut for WP7 apps, too.
Funny you neglected to mention that Google also takes a 30% cut on app sales. And they don't even need staff to curate the store; where's all that money going? Apple can justify its cut, at least.
Apparently public education didn't teach you about relative velocities.
Have you ever read the comments on IGN? Gamespot? Even Kotaku has the worst commenters of any Gawker site. Have you ever interacted with someone on Xbox Live? Yeah. These are gamers. Obnoxious (not to mention homophobic and misogynistic) 13-year-olds, or people who act like 13-year-olds. I'm not saying you're…
I thought I was pretty clear. See my above post. If you are literally unable to get a decent to great gaming experience on a mid-range laptop, you're doing something wrong.
I've only really tried Minecraft, TF2, and Portal 2 on it, as I'm not a big gamer. But the consensus on the internet is that the 1.4 GHz MacBook Air is surprisingly decent for gaming. Of course, this is the extreme low end of the spectrum. I used this example only for emphasis. Since Sandy Bridge, no laptop has been…
I need evidence to say that 4G and beyond will improve over 3G?
But Apple does make an in-ear model: [store.apple.com]
Again, that's just over 3G. Surely the technology will improve with 4G and beyond.
If you NEED a hardcore gaming desktop to game, you're doing something wrong.
The author means cellphones will completely replace home phones, not that wireless home phones will replace wired home phones. ...?
