Nope, actually, you implied it.

I don't see how Google can justify taking the same 30% cut of app sales that Apple takes yet does no/barely any curation.

None of the points you made above effectively refutes anything I said.

The blowback from losing a paper notebook is minimal compared to losing an expensive tablet device.

Once again, I'm not disputing that computer memory works with base 2...

Students from middle school and up have relied on technology for years now. The vast majority of assignments must be typed, and you simply cannot get through school without internet research.

Engadget commenters, smart? You mean smart enough to criticize patent systems when Apple takes advantage of it but applaud Android manufacturers when they do the same? Smart enough to think that this will deter rather than encourage Apple to pursue more patent cases?

You can plug microphones, DJ rigs, and even guitars into an iPad. And audio and HD video aren't even anywhere near each other in terms of file size. I don't think you can plug in external videocameras, so you're stuck with the built-in cam, which only shoots really grainy 720p. Unless you want to transfer videos from

And then you read MY post(s) again.

... I'm not saying that using base 2 figures is wrong. The imperial system isn't "wrong," but you can't suddenly start referring to inches as centimeters. Just like you can use inches if you want, you can use KiB if you want. But don't call it a KB when it's not a KB. If anyone's redefining the foot, it's you.

"Kilo" will never mean 1024, sorry. You can find definitions of SI units yourself if you don't believe Wikipedia on it.

It's not marketing hype; it's SI. SI prefixes are clearly defined: [en.wikipedia.org]

This review is obviously biased.

Apple may not have invented much tech, but it makes lots of tech useful. Which is just as important. See: capacitive touchscreens and multitouch.

I laughed. Apple is by far the most attacked company on the internet.

No, you're making distinctions based on insignificant technicalities. An iPhone 4S is for all intents and purposes an iPhone 4S whether it's GSM/CDMA or 16/32/64 GB. The same cannot be said for two HTC models.

Apple needs to release a new Thunderbolt Display with a powerful GPU built in. Then I would ditch desktops once and for all and use an Air as my main computer.

Do you realize that aggregating and cultivating technology for new and different uses = innovation? No company invents every single thing they use. However, identifying what has potential and implementing those things in meaningful ways is innovation, and that's what Steve Jobs / Apple has been extremely good at.
