More to the point, where do you find a grocery store that’s open at midnight? I live in a fairly major city, and the two grocery stores within a short drive of my house close at 9 and 10 PM.

Amazing art, but jet-powered trains are not a new idea...
I still don’t understand how owning this dump truck could possibly be a bad thing.

What if I don’t want to be mad?
Here’s a potential alternative (other suggestions welcome):
I’ve been having my doubts about Tesla lately, but this car does look quite good. There are two things that bug me, though.
Let me see if I understand this now: if we simply put wheels on a brick, it should move through the air with almost zero resistance. Correct?

Okay, I understand the no-roof part, but what’s the point of having no doors? Seems like it would just make it easier for people to fall out.
Looks awesome at first glance, but...sixty grand seems like an awful lot for something that doesn’t even have airbags.
GAAAH! What did I just look at?
COTD right here.
Is it on purpose that the road sign in the background of the lead image points to Hell? (Edit: just looked again and saw the caption.)
Agreed. If nothing else, it would certainly save a lot of reflex time moving your foot from one pedal to the other (which could save a life in case of an emergency stop).
Isn’t this what Tesla has been doing for ages? I believe the Chevy Bolt also has a mode that works this way. One pedal driving is nothing new - Nissan seems to be just trying to drum up some press by pretending it is. The only new part of this is the hill hold feature.
There’ll still be a brake pedal.
Probably because Andrew is, in fact, Zaphod Beeblebrox.
