F&F was already a fine example of action filmmaking with the first movie, but Justin Lin just elevated it to masterpiece level by the 5th movie.

They should have just gone overboard and call themselves Lady Antifa.
The films and show are cathartic. It shows the rich and powerful killing people much more literally than in real life, and the poor and middle class returning the violence to them in kind.
I thought the movie did that to parody Trump’s campaign.
This is actually covered, sort of, in the prequel movie The First Purge. The government observers were confused that the first thing black neighborhoods do when the Purge starts was thrown block parties.
It’s a great series if you just feel like “fuck rich people”.
This is the opposite of how people around him think. My friend is an extra on BvS and says he’s probably one of the most pleasant and and friendly directors to work with, even interacting directly with people like him.
Black actors are not interchangeable.
You are basically saying Superman should be a religious/divine figure, the same thing MoS and BvS were criticized for. A more “human” Superman have been written before, and well received.
Whedon wasn’t as involved with Angel, even more so as the series heads towards the ending, and this is why Gunn is the best POC character in his series.
People who worked on Justice League has spoken out against the Whedon version before this. Some, like Ciaran Hinds, simply say the movie looked nothing like what he filmed. Others, like Patty Jenkins, quitely liked an article reporting on Whedon being removed from the Batgirl movie. The Instagram post where Fisher…
The production troubles of the second Avengers apparently led to Marvel Studios replacing Whedon with the Russo brothers.
That’s partly it, but maybe the recent BLM protests made Fisher realise his worth.
This has gone beyond comic book nerd-ery.
Sir, before I let this comment pass, I need to examine your level of whiteness.
I was being disingenuous, and partly joking. But Snyder’s detractors have a history of misrepresenting his movies, and then attaching moral judgement to them. It’s almost always white men who then ignore all of Snyder’s fans who are LGBT, female, POC and others. Which I guess is not a surprise given what white male…
The Snyder Cut will also have a lot more regarding Batman’s redemption arc. About that Martha scene, I think what we’re supposed to take from that was Batman realizing he’s basically re-enacting his mother’s murder. Or as some put it, “batman.exe crashing and rebooting”. After that he became almost like a child’s idea…
Protocols of The Elders of Zion was a book meant to slander Jews made by Russian anti-semites. It’s more or less a book of ‘fake news’.
The original movie was over 3 hours long. The 2 hour length was a mandate from WB, and only after Whedon came in.
Now I’m just wondering, what change were you expecting?
