The ending was supposed to be bonding but came off as sexist and somewhat stereotypical of what the mainstream thinks of black men.

While I don't think AHS is a wonderful show, there seemed to a be a lot of tone that flew over people's heads, at least here at AVClub, especially the first season.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this mindset. The last truly great-yet-unappreciated Nintendo system, to me, was the N64. Quite a few genre-defining or genre-best games back then (Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Goldeneye, etc)

I agree. I knew nothing of the top brass at Fox, and considering that Fox was actually losing to CW late spring, I felt it was justified. But now, upon reading that Reilly was actually trying to accomplish something, I'm not so happy.
