I wholeheartedly agree with that assessment. To me, Donna has always been a fairly sympathetic character. When everything went down in that office meeting at Mutiny, I actually sided with Donna more than Cameron. Donna is able to see things objectively and is able to observe the business end of a company's actions.

Thank you so much for answering my question! And yes, I'll definitely check it out. I've been meaning to for a while.

What was the Sufjan Stevens song at the end of the episode?

Absolutely. This show has been one of the most satisfying efforts of the last few years, at least as far as television is concerned. And this episode was a prime example of that. Excellent writing, acting, and directing all around.

Indeed, it seems too specific to ignore. I really do think that when FX began producing the two shows they imagined them as companion pieces to one another. Like two different interpretations of the same couple.

It is, but your particularly brand of pessimism annoyed me and so now we have what now passes for a conversation between the two of us.

I'm aware, it's just that the pessimistic-internet-dude schtick people seem to enjoy in the comments section is more tiresome than it is interesting to read. It's just needlessly bitter is what I'm trying to say.

New music or old music, you still have to find a way to be disgruntled, huh?

I agree, the jadedness that can sometimes encompass this site and many other sites can become pretty unbearable very quickly. It certainly wouldn't hurt if we expressed a modicum of positivity and earnest behavior every now and then. Not everything is shit.

Hey now, Evolution was awesome!

I've taken quite a liking to Travis over the past couple of months since discovering them. I gotta say, their brand of unpretentious heart-on-your-sleeve indie rock sort of put me off at first, but then they really took hold of me and never let me go. The Man Who in particular is currently getting me through high

Welp, I guess I know what I'm doing when this movie hits theaters.

It's pretty spot on isn't it! Matt Bellamy sounds like he's doing his greatest Thom Yorke impression when he sings!

The Bends is just a fantastic album, but listening to it now, it's telling how much Travis, Coldplay, and Muse borrowed liberally from it in their early work.

Don't get me wrong, The Bends is a classic album, but I much prefer the adventure Radiohead is taking with their music these days. I don't like the idea of them releasing another Bends-esque album infused with RAWK, because that'd just feel like living in the past at that point.

I absolutely adored The King of Limbs, I dig the idea of Radiohead making something so at peace with itself after the blockbuster that was In Rainbows. An absolutely underrated album in my opinion, it's been a mainstay in my playlist in the years since it came out. I can't wait to see where Radiohead go from here if

Yeah, I've been meaning to watch that for quite some time! I'll definitely check it out.

I'm sure the timing of it was instrumental in the show's inevitable loss of audience. Since the premise of the show wherein we're lead not to trust the government would probably leave one feeling a bit cold after learning about the events of 9/11. All the same though, I didn't view it at that point in time so I never

I appreciate that you took the time to read my thoughts! I know it must've been a lot to sit through, but I had quite a lot of things to say about this season. I'm proud to say that I've become an official X-Phile! At some point I'm really hoping to see IWTB again, since I first saw it six years ago with my father not

Here we are, the final, and most controversial
season yet. Season nine has the reputation of being the weak-link in the
series' canon, what with its lack of Mulder for the majority of its
run. In looking at the season as a new fan, however, I'd argue that
season nine was a victim of the time in which it aired rather
