Supernatural is a really good show. It was a good replacement for me after I took a break from Lost Girl. I haven’t made it past the beginning of season 6 though.

I still can’t get over how she’s indirectly throwing LSU under the bus with this whole thing. I’m wondering what sort of networking she’ll be able to have with any LSU alums after this. I’m guessing none. I know it’s a smaller school but damn girl.

I know students who moved schools to get more playing time on varsity sports (allowing for a better recruitment tape to send colleges), so the idea of doing this for academics is something I already assumed they were doing.

Yes. My grandmother had at least 2 dressers I couldn’t use because she was afraid they would tip over on me. I proved that fear right when I was 12 (I pulled the drawer open a little too hard) but I was big enough by then to catch it and set it right.

Some theaters have cheap tickets before noon. I used to go see that 10/11 AM shows for $7.

Me! I’ve seen 2 of the last 3 Feig/McCarthy pairings in the theater and have yet to be disappointed. I saw Spy on HBO and was mad that I’d waited so long.

I remember reading this and seeing that the number of Asian students admitted to Harvard had actually gone up. I’m interested in seeing where that goes because it felt like they were saying Black/Hispanic applicants have lower expected score than Asians, but didn’t address how Asian applicants have a higher expected…

I think they need to go back to just making shit that they enjoyed. The you can tell the people making stuff like GOT and the Wire are really into it-and that shows. If the let Issa Rae do her thing, I see good things for this one.

You should feel pissed about this. I mean, Delta found me another seat because I wasn’t willing to leave my laptop in my carryon (I fully admit to being a pain in the ass on that one) but you can’t move a grown man so he’s not sitting next to a 13 year old girl on a flight with open seats? That’s some straight up…

I grew out of being an unaccompanied minor around 16 or so, a few years after 9/11. Before that, they would let the person picking up the minor through security with a badge so they could meet the minor right when they get off the gate. Now I’m curious what the policy is.

Former frequent unaccompanied minor here. Whenever I flew solo they sat me at the front of the plane next to other unaccompanied minors or in an area that didn’t have many other people-but was always less than a few rows from a flight attendant. IIRC this flight was half empty and the flight attendants didn’t think to…

Major in whatever you want-just make sure you get work experience, preferably in the field you want to work in. That’s what the companies will appreciate.

I think that will happen, but we’ll have to wait a few generations for it.
