What they really want to get rid of are male-to-male adapters.

As of March, that’d be Sir Brian May to you, peasant.
No offense, Cameron, but you warned us to watch out for buff naked guys suddenly appearing in the street, and I’ve been doing my damndest to find them since then. It’s not on me if the actual problem was some sociopathic jerkoffs in ill fitting blazers the whole time.
Once again, insurance companies do not give a fuck about politics. All they care about is math and money. If the math doesn’t add up to money, they will go do business somewhere else. If the practice ESG or believe in diversity, it is because those things make them money, not because they are being run by “woke…
Honestly, if you’re interested in the Agatha Christie stories about Poirot, then you’re better off watching the ITV series Poirot with David Suchet. He played the character in 70 episodes for over two decades, and nobody has played Poirot better.
It’s going to be amazing when he rips his mask off to reveal that he was Sacha Baron Cohen all along.
My two tips to get more out of the internet:
It’s been 15 years since the last Indy movie, meaning younger audiences may not know the character
yeah on those prequels.. Brian Herbert and his writing partner made so many dubious (to me) and chatioc changes to the Dune Universe ... I stand on Chapterhouse the LAST dune book being enough...lol🤣🤣🤣 and the prequels never existed.. much like Godfather I&II what is this III they speak of?
Yeah, but Brian Herbert and Kevin Anderson are NOT decent writers. The writers adapting this have their work cut out for them and might be better off just staying on strike.
“Facebook doesn’t like it” is really all I need to know to support it.
If you’re getting your news from Facebook, you’ve got bigger problems than this.
Yup. I call this “can’t win, don’t play” when dealing with certain members of my family. You just do what you think is right and don’t care about what they say about it because you know they are not going to be happy no matter what you do. It is very freeing.
The argument made is that casting for roles that do not have cultural trappings should not be forced to keep the ethnicity presented in prior source material purely because that was the ethnicity originally presented.
They really are the biggest snowflakes. “Free speech absolutists” unless you hurt their wittle feewings.
Say what you will about the Guardian, but I generally love their film review headlines, which don’t mess around. Case in point:
Good. Put all of Hollywood on hold until writers get what they deserve.
The first season was a very good season of sci-fi television, but a terrible adaptation of the source material. But a faithful adaptation of the source material would have made for terrible television, so that’s probably for the best.
This all isn’t performative either. Garth Brooks had gotten the NFL to debut the We Shall Be Free video at the Super Bowl in 1993. The NFL tried to pull the song from the program at the last minute because of the “controversy,” and Brooks told them that if they reneged, then he wouldn’t perform the national anthem…
Brooks is corny as all get out.
