I used to want one of these sooooo badly! But not for 17k I don’t think.

Having a massively wide foot, I also do the ball/edge thing, and always have. I even modded one of my cars to get the gas pedal closer to the brake so my foot placement was less critical. Fun times.

That doesn’t actually happen. There have been studies done on new roads where no speed limit was posted and the speeds observed, and an 85th percentile speed was recorded. After a few months, the limit on some of the roads was set drastically higher than that speed, and on others it was set drastically lower. In

I noticed the exact same thing there when I drive I-70 to Indy one year. Everyone was driving 53, and the one guy who passed me going 57 got pulled over.

Well they can’t really make it slower. All they can do is make it less fuel-efficient, because I’d bury it ‘round that sucker!

Here in MD when it comes to driving, it’s always safe to assume that any of these things (and more) are illegal. And the ones that somehow aren’t may still be illegal if a randomly observing officer decided that they’re illegal. I’ve been ticketed for non-illegal things in the past, and even had those tickets hold up

I’d comment on this but half of them are probably doing better than I would.

My mom has an 06 (or is it 07?) Civic, and I cannot stand driving it. I hate how the speedo/fuel/etc and tach are on totally separate planes. The dual focal lengths make my eyes ache, and if I have my glasses on, I’m bobbing my head like a pigeon to find the right angle for the progressive lens. Plus, the A pillar

I like my R53 just fine. You don’t even have to look at that bigass speedo because it’s available in digital format on the tach. I find the throttle-by-wire lag on the car to be far more annoying than anything about the interior. BTW the S gets a nicer steering wheel.

If nothing else, the US should offer a smaller, European style front license plates.

I in fact got the turbo diesel wagon (in brown) for my wife, but the 6-sp is an automatic. It's a fantastic car actually, and not bad to look at, even in brown. ;)

I don't know why, but I always thought the 240SX was the American version of the Silvia.

I've been holding out (perhaps indefinitely) for the ST Diesel, but this might sway me. Love the car.

I'm glad I'm not the only one annoyed by "push t0 upshift, pull to downshift". Our Jetta wagon has that and as a result I just never use the feature.

Well no matter what this car looked like, someone would dislike it. There's no pleasing everyone when it comes to style and design.

Still easier to figure out than my wife.

The cop is already waiting.

Thanks for my new phone wallpaper.

What about apps that auto-text the person texting you that say, "Can't reply, I'm driving. Call you back soon"? They exist. You could easily get pulled over for doing something safe, although I suppose the officer would demand to see your phone to prove you weren't texting.

We have a 2012 TDI Jetta Sportwagen, and love it. I can't let my wife see this article though. She'll want to trade ours in for the extra 10bhp!
