Keep in mind many states will tax you on the amount forgiven which is stupid as hell IMO. Because of this, there is also an option to opt out of the forgiveness which is in the e-mail that was sent out announcing this move.

If it’s a Phillips head screw and you stripped it, a #1, 2, or 3 square head driver (corresponding to the same number Phillips head) can fit in the remaining hole snugly enough to remove it.  Unless you really stripped the head, then try cutting a flat head groove in there.
