@philosopher_dog: The steam can still leach out antioxidants from the veggies which ends up in the green-tinged water (for green veggies) in the bottom of the steamer. Not as much as boiling, but still more than the microwave cook/steamed with minimal water added.

My neighbor's been growing maple tree seedlings using this system for years without even realizing it.

@bobby.tables: I did something similar with a storage tote, but I set it up with a smaller pan inside that actually holds the litter. That helped cut down on the kicking out of litter (mine seem to enjoy carrying it between her pads and then wriggles her toes on the sofa). I cut the door so that the bottom is about 2

@BlackMage is doing the Time Warp agaaaaaaain!!!: I don't have any problems with shredded or sliced cheese stored in the freezer, I just take a bag out and let it thaw in the refrigerator for at least a day before I use it. Slices (provolone) may be a little stiffer and harder to separate but still melt and taste

@thisisasignin: I know a guy in the midwest USA who is doing that. Has a big greenhouse attached to his garage, among other things growing inside, he has a vanilla vine growing along the upper rails, when it blossomed last summer he hand pollinated the flowers to get pods to set. I can download (32 bit version, the 64 bit gets to 99% then the download manager says the file is corrupt and I need to download it again...), and get keys, but when I try to install from the DVD I get corrupt file errors.
