Holy shit, you mean the last FORTY YEARS of people concerning themselves with price instead of manufacturing origin increasing transfer of wealth from the middle class to the wealthiest, combined with stagnant wages, has squeezed consumers to the point where raw affordability becomes the overwhelming concern in

I take that back. The Dunlop race car of the future was pretty well thought out as well.

Art Center wankery. Newey’s X1 is the only thing that looks the part of “future racecar”.

I think MotoGP still has open cockpits and no DRS zones. Not sure though.

When you said “fan-centric,” I thought you meant downforce fans. I am disappoint

If only Formula One was allowed to innovate freely again we would have amazing cars like this and the Red Bull F1 concept.

Can the time of enormous fake vents pushing out the bumper corners be over as well? Its a hideous design element, and a feature on far too many new cars.

First Gear: Origami cars. I HATE origami cars. Carry on.

Well, motorsport fans had no chance of fighting back when he was destroying everything in order to secure a living space for the F1. We will never forget the murders of the WTCC, WSC and DTM/ITC.

And like the F’n F&F franchise it’s wildly popular for reasons unknown.

I wonder if this puppy is still up on the wall. It was quite a sight as you walked in!

And then being bested by whatever Tesla comes out next.

Frankly, I’ve been glazing over stories about this car for weeks. I know there are some dads out there who care about drag times and such, but we’ve seen this all before. Youtube is brimming with 2,000 hp GTRs. Not factory, of course, but it’s just not that interesting to have a 1,000 hp muscle car.

The canopies merely need to slide forward to open (as opposed to hinge up / forward), with some fast acting system to do so when sensors detect the car’s inversion. It could even provide some additional rollover support / egress clearance residing on the top of the nosebox. This isn’t rocket science... well, sorta...

Seriously: shame on F1 and shame on Indycar. Jules Bianchi and Justin Wilson have been dead for almost 2 years and we STILL don’t have fucking proper head protection for open wheel racecars. Fuck your stupid sense of pride and tradition; the world would be a better place with these two guys in it than it is without

Never understood the “This is our crazy supercar/musclecar motor... get MORE excited as we put in in ever heavier and less aerodynamic cars!!!” thing. Why not put it in lighter and more aerodynamic cars? You’re working backwards, assholes.

Close the wheels in too, Indy realized also the wheel on wheel contact is bad and came up with the dumb bumpers. They’ll end up looking like WEC LM P1 cars but so be it.

Pish.
