It looks like a properly aerodynamically wing w/ two elements, deep endplates, delta twist near the tips. Actually far better than a lot of stylistic, hokey OEM ones.
I think it had more to do with what anodizing was available when the convention started. I don’t remember anything green anodized until more recently. Everything was red, blue, or nitride gold/copperish back in the day.
