90 degrees lowers the Cg (as the engineering gods intend) considerably over 60, while 120 is too wide to function as a stressed chassis member (as the engineering gods intend). The engine does not live in a vacuum. It’s part of a total package.

If you think a Supra is going to run in NASCAR, you really don't know how modern NASCAR works. They're essentially 100% bespoke. 

Also, the Ford GT is way more awesome than these other meh supercars.

How so? I don’t mean how they’re implemented in road cars, but how a proper CVT would work in a race car. The gearbox is an extraneous dead weight device that only exists because of the limitations of conventional motors. You’re both wrong. Teams will find a place to spend the money if they have it either way. More open rules, however, I think gives more opportunity to someone less funded to come up with something whacky.
