Am I the only one who didn't completely hate the movie? It's not as good as the book, but most adaptations aren't.

I’ve already made peace with this. I just cannot spend that much time on a game anymore like I used to (there is a single exception).

Killing off a major character is one thing, but replacing the entire cast and the main storyline is something else.

This is still one of my all time favorites! I actually enjoy a few of Gary Paulsen’s books.

best post on the internet? best post on the internet.

Minneapolis where I live

And the TV show most faithful to the books:

We need a support group.

Reading quite a few books right now. Just started Collapse, by Jared Diamond, on civilisational adaptability and the factors for their successes and failures. Only at the very beginning, but it looks like good stuff. (Also, he quoted “Ozymandias” as the opening. He had me there.)

I can’t wait to live in a future dystopia where our every move is spied upon and mega corporations have wrestled control of the governments away from the people.

We are basically living in a cyberpunk present.

Okay, so slightly simplistic, but a good check on blindly accepting things none the less.

I wish I could think of some good image from physics since I know that better than some other areas of sciece but I can’t.

Windows or Mac. IT is pretty boring.

Biggest excitement to disappointment drop I’ve experienced for any show ever.

Well, we know that I have to reply to this. First, thanks, George. I’m glad you shared this.
