If by “Beyond Earth” you meant the far superior Alpha Centauri, then I entirely agree.

It’s fun to watch shows about hyper competent people solving huge problems to save the day. But it’s fun to play games about being disaster ensigns who fumble their way through situations and just barely make it out the other end.

I am 100% here for making it so that bigots can’t enjoy a fucking thing.

To my alma mater’s credit, they dumped a ton of money into revitalizing and modernizing both the main campus and the satellite campuses. They also wasted a ton of money on a football program that has gotten worse over the years, and built a stadium 25 miles from campus. Plenty of parking at that stadium, just not all

HAHAHAH oh god yeah. “So is this the dad?” points to me. My wife goes “Yes he’s my husband” ....long pause.... “So he’s the dad?” ... “Yes.”

Their goal is not to improve the EU. It’s to replace the EU with a new EU that can be made consistent with the new films, bearing in mind that the films will always be the top priority and everything else is promotional material.

Maybe if millenials had money, they’d buy stuff.

This year I decided to dress up as Justice League Reshoot Superman:

I say screw cannon and tell a good story and we decide if its worth it or not.  I think people get too worked up over this stuff anyways and it would be a good shock to the system.

For those who don’t want to have to click through all of them individually...

Hell yeah, been a fan of Ian for well over a year now. He’s part of the rising wave of leftist academic video essayists and has made a series that’s essential to making sense of and acting in our current political hellscape:

I loved this take from a while ago:

That sequence was also crucial in showing that even in that universe, there are rich assholes feeding off [human] misery. But hey, let’s just ignore that disturbing tidbit because assholes can’t handle an Asian woman in their Star Wars (which isn’t to say everyone hated it for that reason).

There are plenty of stories in star wars about bad ass pilots. The whole fucking point of the canto bight sidequest was to show that this whole thing, the galactic war that’s been raging for 60 years doesn’t just effect badass pilots and Jedi, but it effects regular people, people who have been enslaved because of

Fuck those people, I feel for her. It does not change the fact that I do not like the character tho, and the whole side ‘casino royale’ adventure with Finn was stupid and a waste of film. I would like to have seen more of her sister character, the badass self sacrificing bomber pilot instead of plucky tech that guards

They had me at Denis Villeneuve. Blade Runner 2049 was a masterpiece, and I feel like Dune will be in good hands with Villeneuve!

I thought how Luke was portrayed in The Last Jedi was masterful. He was such a badass, overpowering, great lines, and had the best death his character could have possibly have had.

They need to take a lesson from Cobra Kai. Pick up the story 20 years later. Daria is grown up, so is Jane, so is her sister Quinn. Daria doesn’t have kids, and now in her mid-30's, she’s wondering if she does before it’s too late. Her sister has kids, including one probably very similar to Daria. Let’s see how live

To be fair, there are only 7 basic plots. Everything is a rehash.
