Have you seen the original movies lately? They’re great, and they still hold up in general, but there are DEFINITELY aspects that feel weird in 2023. You’re free to not read the site if it bugs you so much.

If every writers room is constant verbal abuse, they should strike or something. What a weird take to say "this is rampant, therefore don't talk about it"

Funny that you left when I asked for a basic explanation of your point. Also you never addressed the fact that you obviously have 2 accounts and used them to, what, try to make it seem like you had support for your bad opinion?

Please kindly explain what about this movie, which is not out yet and you haven’t seen, is pandering.

I think you replied from the wrong account, Mr. Obviously The Same Person I Replied To. The fact that you think having a woman in a movie who is maybe important as something other than a love interest is “MESSAGE pandering” says everything about your level of discernment that I need to hear.

This is a truly terrible take. You’re aware that most movies aren’t made because fans specifically called for a certain plot to be made, and the filmmakers just do it, right? That’s idiotic. And PWB is incredibly likeable in everything I’ve ever seen her in. Sorry your action heroes can only ever be men. Must be a sad

With all the issues with Miller, plus the insane amount of hype they tried to generate to overcome the public opinion of the star of the movie, the movie needed to be INCREDIBLE. It’s not. It’s fine. I didn’t think it was horrible, but it was definitely not great. That’s not even close to good enough in these

Yes, but when someone says something "cost someone their life", they're always talking about that person dying. There are plenty of other phrases to describe what you said, that one basically exclusively means death.

I love that you described a movie in the “worst” category as “mid”, which should literally by definition place it in “so-so”.

While yes, this is a dick move, I’ve definitely seen people cheer when people do the same thing to pay fines or penalties or whatever. Yes, stick it to the government and all that, but there are real people who have to deal with that situation as well, and that gets an entirely different response.

I agree with the sentiment , but saying that this “cost human lives” means a different thing than what happened. But yes, I loved this movie, and it sucks that people were upset with the conditions under which it was made.

The Bechdel test was never meant for actual utility. It was a joke to point out how bad script-writers are at writing female characters, and to point out how overloaded they are with solely male characters plus love interests. It’s an intentionally low bar because it exists for the sake of comedy. Anyone sincerely

Where are you getting that best-case number? I swear I saw yesterday that as of 1pm ET on Wednesday, they had ~40 hours left.

I was thinking RD and Our Flag Means Death. Maybe he wasn’t as much at the helm of those, but that’s what was on my mind.

Fair, I was talking properties that were culturally well-known, but yeah, his work has always been critically well-regarded.

The other guy being an outright dick was probably my least favorite part about the finale. I had a lot of issues with the season as a whole, but I thought the finale worked pretty well, but other than the obvious conflict of his job and dating Michelle, there has never been any real build-up to him being a douchebag

Why on Earth are you watching into the 3rd season if you hate it? I think it’s very clear by maybe the 2nd episode at the latest what it is going to be.

He’s so ridiculous, and sometimes it hits perfectly, and sometimes I can’t wait until it’s over, and I can never seem to tell what the real underlying difference is. The sketch from previous seasons that I think the most about is still the car focus group “Oh my God, he admit it” one, and Tim isn’t the focal point of

Can you call it 15 minutes when he first put out a well-received property in 2014 and last did in 2022? He’s a talented director, even if you’re sick of hearing about him.

Would you otherwise have used Google to write code for you? If not, your point is literally unrelated to the theme of this article, and you’re mad for literally no reason.
