Actually I do agree with what you’re saying. If Congress refuses to certify we are fucked and in an unprecedented Constitutional Crisis situation. I guess I was thinking too narrowly in terms of a military, Myanmar-style coup.

Delusional? Hardly. Look, I served in the Army for a decade. I know how these people think. Their politics might be Republican but there is no way enough officers will violate their Oaths to overthrow the government. Believe what you want but I’m not worried about the military.

Because most of us understand that you cannot overthrow the government without the full cooperation of the military and support from the majority of the population. Because how else are you going to tamp down the inevitable resistance movement that forms after such a government overthrow?

If this is the basis for reinstatement then I propose Al Gore be reinstated instead.

We live in a post-fact world now according to them.

I legit thought she was a white woman in blackface back in the day.

Being called out for stupidity is a badge of honor for these people.

Is our society polite yet?

They don’t think that far ahead.

Yes they really are that unpopular and if they hadn’t gerrymandered this country to hell then they wouldn’t be winning Congressional seats in the first place.

In fact he did become a soldier and served 10 years with the British Army.

Or the same people that just nuked Liz Cheney from orbit.

You know what I have to say to that?

I fucking KNEW McCarthy would pull a Lucy and yank the football away from Nancy Pelosi at the last minute. A leopard never changes its spots, after all.

So much this. No police training manual in the world says “drive to within a few feet of an armed and possibly dangerous suspect and take your chances”. Because despite what Hollywood shows, police car doors are not bulletproof.

Duly noted!

Ah wow I always thought it was a Murdoch rag.

And owned by none other than Rupert Murdoch, no less.

Instead he took his frustrations out on the Taliban. Which, in retrospect, is not exactly a bad thing.

My father grew up in the Jim Crow South and toured America playing jazz through the 50's and 60's. He’s seen it all.
