Let me blow your mind even more... After playing on XSeries, you can go back to playing on XOne (if e.g. you have more ppl in your household and it’s someone else’s turn on the new console) and your savegame will move over the same way, seemlessly. Same thing for X360 (when using cloud saves which are free now since a

Dude, it’s a game, just a game. You can’t expect anything lifelike from a million randomly generated characters.

CDP should have delayed the release. As for the game - it’s not broken, it just needs patches and it will get there in time. Mass Effect Andromeda was also very OK a year after release. People these days have no patience.

I don’t see any problems here. First thing - wait for the update instead of going through hoops to play the game earlier. And even then - it’s just simply low resolution, that’s good. It’s better to be able to play at 720p vs not being able to play at all. The performance on that twitter recording seems to be ok too.

I play on and off (mostly off) Dragon Age Origins currently, cause I wanted to see the whole story. A few hour in, I dropped the skill level from normal to easy, cause it was super frustrating, enemies who took me down in 1 hit, I don’t have time for grinding. Also the ‘tactics’ is false advertising, there is barely

When I saw this tag, I actually thought it was blind people playing the games. It made quite the impression that gamers who can’t see are able to play such a wide variety of games, I only heard of bling people playing roguelikes or text adventures before. Only now I learned from this article the meaning. Which is some

They do... Steam has it’s own, Playstation has it’s own, XBox has it’s own... Of the 3, only the XBox one is crossplay, working on win10 and xbox consoles. I had trouble getting my PC friends to use it though, they like Discord so much.

Good to know. I saw this option in the menus on multiple occassions, but never bothered to try it. Perhaps I could comfortably play Wasteland 2 using this?

The expansions for XSeries are not produced by Microsoft, they said they’ll partner with a many manufacturers, Seagate is just the first one. As for the pricing, the M2 NVMEs which are up to PS5 spec cost more or less the same, so I don’t see the problem.

According to other reviews, the new console just reads the hdds and recognizes all installed games there and allows you to play them. Some might need to download some updates, but overall there is no reformatting or redownloading involved.

It seems there really is no drama here. There were not cool situations, the company helped as it could at that time. Some time passed, a corporate agenda changed, hence the lay off. Losing a job is no fun at all, but it happens. Nothing to see here, move along.

A big part of this is that all XBox accounts have cloud saves on XOne (it used to require Gold on X360), whle PS still requires a Plus account on PS4 in order to have cloud saves. This way Microsoft is already ahead because they have the gamers save files on their servers and the tools to sync them across multiple

The PC is a problem. While there might be parental controls for Windows store apps/games, AFAIK there is no control over other store platforms, or some independent games running just from an exe, or simply pirated games, or running another operating system (like a GNU/Linux distro bootable cd with games, there were at

The question is not ‘is it enough space’, but instead ‘who needs more than that’? The answer is - an enthusiast gamer seriously needs more than half a TB.

This gets me triggered. I’m far from being a n00b, more like I’m no longer good enough cause age has kicked in, and over 30 it’s very hard to keep up (and I used to spray paint the walls with everybody I knew and godlike bots in UT just 15 years ago). I play usually the older games, buy them at sales etc, and

Exclusives are like 10% of games on a platform (not counting Nintendo, nearly nobody in my region buys their stuff), why the hell it’s brought up over and over? It’s like gamers forgot how much the prices for PC hardware hiked in recent years? That is the main reason to get a console now, not any particular games but

I can’t believe you didn’t mention any of the Tomb Raider reboots.

That depends on your boots and the way you walk. I recall many years ago I had boots that ripped holes in my socks almost every day, that’s over 20 pairs ruined in the course of a month. So I guess it can be an issue.

I got no idea what is people’s problem with that scene. Would a different button be better? It’s a game, you press the ‘use’ button to do an action with an object in the game, simple. I was far more disturbed by the fact the main character lost a hand, than by some simple in-game tutorial message.

I’m suprised to find an article like this here. However the text is interesting, I heard about socks with kevlar so they don’t tear, but I had no idea there were advancements in underpants too. Breathable cooling fabric, sign me up :-).
