1. Is Windows 8 difficult to learn for computer novices that are new to Windows 8, but have used previous versions of Windows?

I personally love using Sublight. It usually has fairly accurate subtitles for TV Shows and movies.

But is it easier or resources than MSE? I sometimes will be in the middle of watching something on hulu or another site when the video starts getting jerky and I open task manager and MSE is taking up like 45% of my cpu cycles even though it's not running a scheduled scan and I'm not downloading anything; no reason

I always listen to music while biking, but I have hearing aids and wear a pair of on-the-ear headphones, so my aids still pick up the sounds around me and I just adjust the volume accordingly.

By far, the most useless gadget I've ever purchased was a Cold Heat soldering iron. I thought, "Hey, a soldering iron that can't burn me and runs on batteries? Heck yeah." I bought one on sale for around $10 and made about 10 solder joints and the tip busted, so I just use it for the led light at the end for now.

YES. Even though I can search from the location bar in IE, Opera, Chrome, and Firefox, I "ctrl+t google.com enter" whenever I want to search. I suppose it may be because of better search suggestions. I visit the homepage at least 3 times a day, be it on my Android phone or my laptop.

Almost all of the earbuds that you insert into your ear are shaped so they point down your ear canal correctly. The ones that just sit in your ear (like the old apple earbuds) don't really make any difference.

I don't remember the last time I actually watched live TV. I either browse through netflix for a series to watch or receive a recommendation from a friend for a series and watch the whole series and then pick another one. Sometimes I watch movies on there too.

I primarily jailbreak for NCSettings and F.lux

I have a HTC One V from Virgin Mobile (3G internet speeds). My plan has unlimited data, with speed reduction at 2.5gb. This month, I have used 605mb of data. 209mb of that was Spotify, and 100mb was the Google Play Store.

My first computer growing up was a custom pc with a 486 processor in it and Windows 95. The next one after that was one of my favorites at the time, which was a Packard Bell computer with a Pentium processor, Windows 95, and I believe it had 64 or 128 MB of RAM.

Another thought: I wonder what the demographics are now for piracy. It would be interesting to see a poll.

I know Toshiba recently introduced a 14.4 inch 21:9 screen laptop that is really wide.

Just to let you know, those little things you get with mice are receivers or "dongles", not drives. #corrections

Also, you can update it with the Apple Software Update tool.

While I don't have an Android phone, I do like the variable resistor idea. Might come in handy once in a while.

I would like to mention that in Windows 7 and 8, you can create an infrastructure wireless access point on the fly with the built-in hostednetwork feature. To use it, make sure the sharing option is marked in the wlan card properties, then open a command prompt, type: netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow
