The Gateway to Gateways to Geekery.

Really?  That song had the opposite effect on me…for the first and only time in my life I thought, "This song with Bette Midler is GREAT!"

Those two definitely jumped out to me as well.  Good times

I'm only a few hundred messages deep and at this rate will never finish, so I just wanted to express my love and show off the new avatar.

I flat out loved the pilot…the amount of crazy shit they squeezed into roughly an hour was astonishing.  I'm not surprised that the pace slowed down a bit this week, I have no idea how they plan to keep the tension up for a whole season.  But apparently I have a True Blood-sized hole for trashy sex horror that this

Looking forward to this.  Thanks Señor Rabin for cluing me in on Little Brother and Foreign Exchange!

I'm surprised as well…I was really looking forward to this, despite the lack of an ipad.  I remain cautiously optimistic however, at least on matters Björkish (Björkesque?)

I didn't think the Edward/Jacob jokes worked at all, especially when drawn out at the end.  It was a poorly executed version of a joke that has been done before: https://shop.blindferret.co…

Thanks for the review!  You pretty much hit all the marks for a decent, unexceptional episode  (although I must point out that Marshall's presentation seemed like a stand-up act because it was actually a callback to his standup routine in an earlier season).

Once you start noticing the size of her ears it is impossible to ignore.  I call them Obama ears.

Yeesh.  Sounds like he is sampling Lars Ulrich transcripts from 2000.  I'll still buy everything the angry, entitled old man makes, but I won't be proud about it.

I think you have Josh ranked far too high…he is clearly being kept around for dramatic reasons, and should have gone home this week or earlier.  He has ignored the judge's taste warnings every week (except his winning look, which the client had input on).

I saw her name and got excited that she might have new music out.  sigh

Huh.  I had no idea that Sandy was married to Lily in real life.

Great idea! I think there would be even more to discuss if it happened after the series ends though.

Thanks! I didn't even realize that I'd already seen the video for Deathbound, and it does indeed own.

Hmm…amazon has a fancypants edition with two extra tracks.  Worth getting?

I want to love these guys but the Ozzy-tuned vocals do nothin' for me.  Despite that I'll probably still check this out, a "fun" Mastodon album sounds maddeningly intriguing.

I haven't really considered it a triangle for a long time now…in fact I've enjoyed that Ted and Robin's relationship has matured beyond that aspect.  Have there been any hints in that direction? (Feel free to respond with 20 examples from last season alone.)
