I'll miss you most of all Danielle

Not that I'm not extremely behind the times, but I was trying to describe the generic arrangements and boring drums (machines?) which irritate me.

There is always room for more "party-friendly Afro-pop" on my playlists, but based on the review I think my money is safe for now.  Anyone have an opinion on their first* album? Amazon 30 second previews don't really help all that much.

I love the man, but he could really benefit from working with a full band.  I suspect that half his songs, after he comes up with some clever lyrics and a melody, he just records them over one of the sample beats on a yamaha.

Good call on "King of the Hill".

"Get A Life" really needs to be revisited. "Malcolm in the Middle" and "Everybody Hates Chris" are two underrated recent sitcoms. I'd also love an excuse to dig into more UK comedies…"IT Crowd" or "Mighty Boosh" should have a big enough U.S. audience, although the latter isn't really "traditionally structured."

One more big Thank You (to all)
I never watched the original run, but Donna's writing here (and the reasonable discussions of course) convinced me to hunt down reruns and get hooked (the same thing happened with HIMYM).

I learned today that Larry's daughter is Kerri Kenney from The State!

"Big In Japan" was indeed awesome. R.I.P. Seth Fisher

Quote from last week
me: "I figured out who Ricky looks like—Rosario Dawson!"
wife: "…except he's less masculine."

At first I was thinking that PC gaming might be a shrinking fraction of the industry these days (behind consoles and iOS) so the prices won't matter that much. But you are right about creating sales…I bet that for every release-date buyer that gets poached there are a dozen would-be piraters getting sucked in.

Oblivion, Bioshock 2, Dwarfs, and the Popcap collection.

A whole album with Pete Yorn actually—"Break Up". I bought it on the cheap from amazon, completely forgot about it, and blindly dug it later. So for me the music works, isolated from ScarJo boners and Pete Yorn hate-boners.

Totes Liotes
It's going to be difficult, and my personal and professional relationships will suffer, but dammit, I'm going to work this catchphrase into as many conversations as possible.

Very disappointing
At least Iveta has a day job to fall back to…I hear she won some awards or something.

Yee Yee I'm gonna keep comin' back until I get the cheeseburger you owe me!

I couldn't stand that dude on the show, but his "Barry Ween, Boy Genius" comics are so good that all is forgiven. For profane, angry children of all ages.

Almost forgot "Party Music" as well! It's been 10 years and only one album from The Coup since then…the new one can't come soon enough.

Nick Cave
3 pages of comments and only one mention of "No More Shall We Part"… Am I alone in that being my favorite album of his? (by a nose over many strong contenders).

One of the reasons the price is low is because it is closer to an EP…27 minutes total. No complaints here though.
