It don’t see why it’s generally unfair to be prohibited from profiting off your own criminal facts. It’s literally a tenet of Anglo-American law - ex turpi causa.
Completely agree with this. Though it’s unclear why being detained without bail is intrinsically worthy of criticism (when only done in certain circumstances e.g. flight risk, and monitored judicially).
