This was almost entirely a Doctor Strange tie-in. They're not "shouting-out" because the inter-dimensional portal with the same VFX, mirror-realm glass VFX, and the literal magic book filled with immeasurable knowledge kind of all point pretty clearly in the Doctor Strange direction.
