Squall has excellent character development, both on an individual level and tied to the main narrative. Its top tier work.

Ive always heard the goal was an ensemble where there “wasn’t” a main character, but lets be honest here, Balthier had the makings of a “leading man”.

Auron would be closer than Yuna imo. Hes there from the start and its essentially his plan to open these peoples eyes and change things

The game is all Balthier, Ashe and Basch. Vaan sits unleveled in the back since hes irrelevant.

Did I just read “Rouseys smarts”? That was worth a chuckle or two. You can call her ferocious and incredibly athletic, but smart? Your average brick has a higher iq.

This was my most excited release of the year. Then they had to focus on SD/Awa/Fates. No Hector or Ephraim or Ike? Sorry, not buying your awful roster.

Id agree with 5 of the 6.

Watch out for the console leader. They tend to be extra greedy or consumer unfriendly.

You can only do an initial reveal once. This year Sony’s backlogged games caught up with them. I suppose it was worth it for hype in years past though.

The whole play starts with Subban holding onto Crosbys leg and not letting guy. Thats why hes getting his head bobbed. Note he never lets it go, flips Crosby over, and then holds him in a headlock (well past the whistle as well).

The doc kept sticking things in me. I want to return the favor.

Doesn’t seem like they made the world any more interesting. Rest of it looks the same.

Best shooter on the market by a mile if you ask me. (unless you also count T1).

It was set up as an ensemble where everyone was meant to be equally so to speak. At least thats what they said pre-release. As another example, Watchmen was crafted that sort of way. The writer provided several distinct personalities and wanted the audience to connect with or attach themselves to whomever they related

Halo 5's campaign was a real disappointment, but hey..... its still better than Destiny.

That has always bugged me. Baltheir, Ashe and Basch are so central to the story. Any of them should have been more of a primary protagonist than Vaan.

Campaign was a narrative disaster. Multiplayer was crippled with netcode issues. The base latency before even factoring in individual connection is absurdly high, and in modern cod style, they had made the game more close quarters than older games, making that even more impactful.

Ya, personal tastes are always at play.

Holy shit this is pure gold.
