There haven't been recordings of this particular whale's voice since 2004 when the original researcher passed away. There are, however, more recent recordings of multiple whales singing at 52Hz, possibly living as a group.

Actually, Keiko was semi-successfully reintroduced to the wild. He was able to hunt for his own food, but continued to seek affection from humans as he was never fully accepted into another group of orcas. Keiko died of pneumonia after several years.

Did it? Much of the second book felt like setup for the third(which I haven't gotten to yet), so I was hoping the payoff would be worth it.
